| Felice Botta: master of
essential
Having
studied with the great designer, Pietro Parigi, at the Art Institute
in Florence, Felice Botta has followed in his humanitarian and artistic
footsteps, continuing the search for simple truths. That is why
he has received 11 awards in Europe for excellence in design for
educational toys, he was selected for a gold compass in 1970 and
he continues to introduce new designs at the 14th Exhibition, held
every three years in Milan.
His original sculptures made from found materials,
rescued from beaches, dumps and junkyards, etc. have been exhibited
at such national and international exhibitions as Toyko (1985-86),
Stockholm (1987), Naples (Electra catalogue 1988), New York (1992),
to mention just a few.
Continuing to pursue his love and respect for nature,
with a passion for found materials and in constant search for simplicity,
he uses found and recycled paper to capture his artistic imagination
and creative power.
These have resulted recently in his artistic stamps.
These have evolved from his art over the years and Felice Botta
acknowledges with appreciation the encouragement and confidence
shown by buyers all over the world which has enabled him to take
his art ever further.
Felice Botta, himself, has been surprised at the
extensive range of uses for the stamps
school
stamp collection
animal collectors
therapeutic use
artistic use
hobby
gifts
personal use
etc. etc. |

Felice Botta artistic stamps, with his quintessential
characters, have achieved a popularity which has exceeded all expectations.
They
can be used for all sorts of different applications; e.g. a charity
stamp; as a personal mark, symbol or mascot; bookplates, to decorate
greetings cards and bookmarks etc.
To use: First, ink the stamp with the ink-pad. Hold the stamp in
your hand, or lean it on a hard, flat surface with the image facing
out. Now press the ink-pad lightly onto the stamp as if it were
a sponge. When the stamp is impregnated with colour, press it on
to paper that is lying on a flat surface; press evenly and lift
the stamp up gently.
Close the ink-pad after every use. To use a different
colour ink on the stamp, clean the stamp with a cloth moistened
with water and liquid detergent; let it dry and then use a new colour.
To print on fabric, the process is the same, but
Fabric ink should be used.. After printing, the fabric should be
ironed on both sides in order to “fix” the colour.
Welcome to Felice Botta’s latest creation,
but remember that he doesn’t stop here!
